Photogrammetry helps me to assemble real objects into a 3D object with the help of many photos from different perspectives. In my case, it is a bone. A special programme first calculates the position of the individual photos (it detects where the cameras are) before assigning each pixel a position in space. These pixels then form a cloud of points. Projecting the triangles from each successive point creates a 3D model, which is then overlaid with the texture of the photos, thus creating a textured 3D model that is surprisingly close to reality.
